Where Can You Play?
Big Walk released August 4, 2026 on three storefronts, with full crossplay across all of them:
- Steam — Windows & Mac (also available via the Mac App Store).
- PlayStation 5 — PlayStation Store.
- Nintendo Switch 2 — Nintendo eShop.
There is no single-player mode and no public matchmaking — every session is 2–12 players invited via friends list or a Join Code.
Platform & Store Table
| Platform | Store | Online membership | Notes |
|---|---|---|---|
| Windows / Mac | Steam / Mac App Store | None required | Most flexible: keyboard/mouse or controller. |
| PlayStation 5 | PlayStation Store | PlayStation Plus (to play online) | Free via PS Plus Essential in the launch window. |
| Switch 2 | Nintendo eShop | Nintendo Switch Online | Current-gen only (not the original Switch). |
Is It on Xbox or PS4?
No on both, and this is a frequent long-tail question:
- Xbox: no version at all, no Game Pass, and House House has announced no port plans.
- PS4: not supported — it's current-gen only, and it shipped on Switch 2, not the original Switch.
Price & Launch Discounts
Big Walk is buy-to-own at $19.99 USD across every platform (regional prices roughly CA$25.99 / €18.99 / £15.99). Launch discounts:
- Steam & Nintendo: 25% off to $14.99 during the launch window.
- PS5: full price, but free via PS Plus Essential (Aug 4–31, 2026).
Is It Free to Play?
No — it's a paid game, not free-to-play. The only "free" path is the PS Plus subscription on PS5, which is itself a paid membership, not F2P. Buy from the official stores; third-party key resellers (Eneba and similar) carry region-lock and key-validity risk, so prefer first-party storefronts.
Platform list (Steam / Mac App Store / PS5 / Switch 2), the $19.99 price, the no-Xbox / no-PS4 conclusion, and the PS Plus free window are consistent across IGN's FAQ, allthings.how and bigwalktips. Concurrent and discount figures move over time — check the storefront for today's price.
