How to Save in Big Walk

Big Walk is a continuous co-op session, so 'saving' works differently than a solo game. Here's what we know about its save model and checkpoints.

The Save Model

Big Walk is built around a live co-op session rather than manual saves. Progress is tracked as you clear story beats — the drawbridge, each tower, the finale — and the game records that advancement. There's no "save and quit to menu" loop like a single-player RPG.

Story Checkpoints

Major unlocks act as checkpoints: once you've opened the Red Tower's Map Room or cleared a tower, that progress persists. If your session ends, you resume from the last major story state, not from a manual save slot.

Crossplay & Session Continuity

Because crossplay links Steam, PS5 and Switch 2 in one version, a session's continuity follows the host. If you're a guest on someone else's game, your personal progression (achievements, challenges) still accrues to your account, but the world state lives in the host's session.

What to Confirm

Exact cloud-save behavior per platform isn't something we assert without the official word — check the in-game menu and the official updates / support pages for your platform. If saves misbehave, start at troubleshooting.

This page describes the save model from the game's co-op design; per-platform cloud-save specifics should be confirmed via official support.
