What the Drawbridge Puzzle Is
Right after the tutorial basics, Big Walk presents the drawbridge — a co-op opener that, once solved, lowers the bridge and grants access to the open world. It's the game's way of teaching you that nothing here is solo before it lets you roam.
How to Solve the Drawbridge
The drawbridge is a sync / timing puzzle: players on both sides must act together to lower it. The verified approach:
- One player operates the near mechanism; the other reaches the far side.
- Coordinate a count (out loud) so both actions land on the same beat.
- If it doesn't lower, re-sync — the puzzle fails soft and resets, it doesn't punish you.
Co-Op Mechanic: Sync & Timing
The drawbridge is Big Walk's first real sync lesson: multiple players act at once, on a beat. It's gentle on purpose — a warm-up for the tighter timing puzzles (Yellow Tower, Platforming Fast) later.
After the Drawbridge — Open World
With the bridge down, the world is open and all four coloured towers are "technically missable" — you can tackle them in any order. The community recommendation is Red → Green → Yellow → Blue (see the Best Tower Order), but the route is yours. Browse every puzzle type from the Puzzle Index.
Co-Op Tips
- Count out loud ("three, two, one") — sync puzzles live or die on the count.
- Don't over-think it; the drawbridge resets harmlessly, so experiment freely.
- Once across, grab the Weather Balloon north of the towers early to raise blorb capacity.
